How to Log In to the Genius App

Short answer: Check if the app is already on your phone. If not, download it from the Play Store, then tap Get Started, and enter your ID number and phone number. You will receive an OTP message from THe Genius Friends, enter the message and you are done.

Step 1: Check if the app is already installed

When you apply for lipa mdogo mdogo, the agent onboarding you will preinstall the Genius App during Setup. Check your home screen or app drawer for the Genius App icon before doing anything else.

Step 2: If it's not installed

If you can't find it on your phone:

  1. Open the Play Store
  2. Search for "Genius Friends App"
  3. Tap Install
  4. Wait for it to finish downloading

Step 3: Log in

Once the app is open:

  1. Tap "Get Started"
  2. Enter your National ID number
  3. Enter your phone number
  4. You'll receive an OTP (one-time PIN) by SMS, enter it to verify

If this is your first time logging in: 

5. You'll be asked to enter your name and email address

  • If you already have an email registered with Genius, this step won't appear

Once verified, you'll land on your dashboard where you can see your plan, balance, and due dates.

Trouble logging in?

  • Didn't receive the OTP? Check that you have network signal and that the phone number you entered is correct, then try again
  • Wrong ID or phone number on file? Contact support so they can update your details
